The braided dishes baskets are purchased on Fair Trade terms directly from the women who weave them. All baskets are handmade and may therefore vary slightly in size, colors and pattern. Background: Our baskets are handmade by women from the Thies region, approx. 122 km north of Dakar in Senegal. These women work hard to support their families by either weaving
