2016 Ch. Lamothe-de-Bertineau, Lalande-de-Pomerol Chardonnay 18 months in French oakA rich "merlot type" with ripe, well balanced fruit. Blackcurrant, licorice and forest floor on the nose. In the mouth there are blue plums, blackcurrants and cherries. The oak gives structure to the soft fruit, and there is a hint of licorice in the balanced and dry aftertaste.
