In 1892 the founder took a break from managing Glenfiddich Distillery to establish the nearby Balvenie Distillery, also still owned by William Grant & Sons. In 1963, the distinctive three sided Glenfiddich bottle was introduced. In the same year, the distillery also launched the first official single malt whiskey ever. Glenfiddich Fire
