Many are quick to dismiss it given the difficulties of the growing season that saw abundant rain

Discreet but not invisible wood is present on the overtly floral-suffused nose that displays background hints of lemon rind and a phenolic character (think olive oil nuances)

Croix always seems to produce extraordinary wines from this plot and while there is ample reduction present, it doesnt prevent the spice and floral notes from escaping the funk. The spiciness continues onto the rich, velvety and mouth coating flavors that are blessed with an abundance of dry extract that buffers the otherwise firm tannins on the elegant, refined and beautifully balanced finish.
