Mordoree, Lirac Reine Bois Rouge other_regions Red currant and stone hintsI previously reviewed the 1998 Lirac Cuvee de la Reine des Bois prior to bottling, and it is living up to my expectations. It exhibits a dark ruby purple color as well as a moderately intense nose of black fruits, licorice, spice, pepper, and smoke. Displaying moderate tannin with exceptional concentration, it will benefit from 1 2 years of cellaring. It is one of those rare Liracs that will age for 10 15 years.
