Laurent Ponsot, Cuvee du Cypres Brut Zero 550 cases were made(Cyprus tree). Here the ripe and fresh nose derives more from the darker side of the fruit spectrum while adding nuances of cherry liqueur, warm earth and underbrush. There is very good detail and subtle minerality to the acceptably dense and relatively muscular flavors that deliver fine length on the mildly tangy finale. Very good if not truly distinguished.
