Louis Jadot, Latricieres Chambertin Vintage:2005 black currant and coffeeThis is notably higher toned than the Charmes with a more elegant blend of cool and restrained red currant, raspberry and liqueur of red cherry aromas, all trimmed in an overt stoniness that continues onto the bigger and more obviously concentrated flavors that carry better depth and length on the beautifully balanced if moderately austere finish. I quite like this and the sense of harmony is pronounced. Lovely and entirely classic in style. (92 94)
