A James Mein Snr of Kelso Bobbin Chair Sale the base has a sprungThe ebonised frame raised on its original brass castor and bearing the manufacturers paper label to the underside, retaining both squab cushions. A superb example in every respect. Scottish, circa 1820. James Mein was the most celebrated of all the cabinetmaker in the Scottish Borders, working in Kelso from 1784 until his death in 1830.
