Description
It has a very intense bouquet with blackberry
as well as finessed tannins to round out the finish
Ripe but distinctly wild nose hints at strawberry and musky roast coffee
The overall impression of refinement is enhanced by the notably fine grain of the tannins and this is really lovely
the same approach the estate used for its early wines
Joseph Drouhin, Gevrey Chambertin Vintage:2020 It has a very intense(25 to 30% of the blend is from declassified 1ers). A ripe yet reasonably cool nose speaks of both red and dark berries along with plenty of forest floor and sauvage suggestions. I very much like the texture of the well detailed medium bodied flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the youthfully austere and solidly complex finale. This persistent effort is a fine Gevrey villages.
