A Dryopteris wallichianas fronds appear in spring as a vibrant yellow green before maturing to a forest green. The colour of the pinnae is contrasted with the brown black stem and midrib of the fronds. Plant in a moist, well drained, humus rich soil. Thrives best in partial shade or full shade.
