These senders work with most VDO series gauges that are 10 180 ohms. Standard Ground: Single wire senders with positive lead only. Grounding occurs through the sender case to common ground. Floating Ground: Two wire senders with positive and negative lead. The sender is insulated in the engine block and grounding occurs through the negative lead to a common ground. (i. e.
