Description
the wine is deceiving in that it starts off slowly
The medium-bodied palate delivers supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity
It shows new dimension with each swirl of the glass
The grapes fermented in open wooden vats and carried out the malolactic fermentation in oak barrels
spices and graphite on the nose
Francois Lamarche, Echezeaux Vintage:2012 the wine is deceiving in(from the climats of Les Rouges du Bas, Les Cruots and Clos St. Denis). A very attractive blend of black fruit, Vosne spice and a moderate dollop of new wood introduces rich, full and notably ripe flavors that possess good volume and a velvety, indeed almost suave finish that cannot disguise the impressive power and robust structure. This will require the better part of a decade to fully resolve the slightly rustic tannic spine. 90 2014+
