Chateau Carbonneau "Pur Jus", 2022 Malvasia di Schierano grippy tannins and a refreshingBlackberry, sweet lilac, touches of cedar, tobacco leaves. Soft and floral with layers of violets, rocky minerality and dark berries. 90% Merlot with 10% Malbec. Chateau Carbonneau was constructed in 1860, producing wine until the First World War when the estate was sold and vineyards pulled out during the subsequent economic crisis. It was not until the Franc de Ferriere family took over the Chteau in 1992 did the process of restoration begin.
