Shimano's own Type N Brake Pads are no different. They feature Ice Tech cooling fins to combat heat generated from sustained braking. The cooling fins can be seen sitting at the top of the brake pad (above the braking surface) and tests have shown they work tremendously. The latest N03A RF is said to have 50% better
