Diabelli 2024 Gustaf all with melodyThe Vaterlndischer Knstlerverein edition, with Beethoven's and 50 other composers' variations on Anton Diabelli's waltz, was a unique and ambitious undertaking in 1824. Against this background, the pianist Mats Jansson got the idea to commission new, Swedish Diabelli variations 200 years later to celebrate the anniversary. In the edition, 18 Swedish composers have interpreted Diabelli's theme in their own way and contributed to an imaginative
